A View To The Scene: Not a Podcast One

Not having the internet at home means that the View To A Scene Podcast has been put on hiatus for a while. However, for the nob-ends who haven’t got a mic, I’ve prepared the list of questions for them to answer. First up is  Jordo.

How long have you both played FM and CM?

Ehh, been fucking ages. I think probably CM01/02 was the first one I played properly. Although with management games I grew up playing Premier Manager 98 and Premier Manager 2000. They were fucking awesome.

What are your favourite aspects?

Don’t really have a favourite aspect, I just like the whole management simulation thing.

Which type of game do you prefer (long term or short term)?

I prefer long term games but it takes me a while to really get into it enough to play for like 10-15 years. I tend to drift in and out of games, play them solid for a week then not bother for a month, then pick it up again down the line.

And how long have you been around on the “scene?”

Ooft, that’s a question. Probably be about 5 or 6 years now. It’s been a while anyway, Fuck, if I knew the amount of hours I’ve spent I’d probably die.

Which sites do you/have you posted regularly on?

I started out posting on SI, but the chat was shite and most of them were cunts. I think I got banned in the end. Then I went to Sortitoutsi and was there for a while, then Throw-In and then FM-Britain, then Goal-Kick and then here. I’ve basically been a regular on pretty much every big FM site that there is.

Why did you choose that site to make your home?

I tend to drift between them really, if there’s a good member base with people who I like then I’ll stick around. Even if it’s just for two or three members.

What do you think a good site should have?

Good site just needs good members to me, and good solid FM content.

What do you think other sites do well/what ideas would you like to take?

Dunno about other sites, not really arsed what they do. In fact alot of the time I don’t really care what FMV does! We need to pan the podcasts though, or at least make them monthly or something.

What would you like to see on the scene?

The Scene doesn’t mean anything to me now tbh.

Which sites do you not really like?

I can’t really think of any sites I dislike either. The idea of hating a website is a bit nonsensical to me.

Have you been involved in any of the Scene controversies?

Eh aye probably. I’m partial to a bit of controversy every so often.

What do you think the funniest moment on the scene has been for you?

Funniest moment was a couple of years ago, me and Darn and I think Adriano were abusing these two Canadian burds for about 5 hours. I don’t think I’ve laughed as much as I did that night in my life.

Which sites have you been banned on and why?

Susie – Generally being a cunt. I got away with murder though.

Throw In – Same reason, pissing the staff off.

FM-Britain – I’m not entirely sure, I remember Gaz telling me I slagged him off, fuck knows \o/

SIGames – Abused one of the mods cos he was an arrogant prick.

Where have you been staff?

Ehh, Goal-Kick, here, FM-Britain, Throw-In and somewhere else I canny mind.

Which members do you get on with best?

There’s loads of members I get on with really well. Gers is the boay, Dangtfc, Zabier, Moff etc. There’s actually very few people I don’t get on with tbh.

If you could choose one member to ban for good, who would it be, and why?

I’d ban that Nexus guy, he’s an absolute fat bawsack.
