Current Game of the Month

One area of FMV that has turned out some great reads lately is the Current Game area and so we are starting this award: Current Game of the Week! Apologies for the trophy graphic but it’s the best I could do on short notice ;)

Our inaugural competitors are AlexBRFC’s “AFC Telford United”, upthehammers’ “The Hammers”, Marshall’s “Feeling the Burn”, and Blaze’s “Espanyol”

A bit about our contenders:
AlexBRFC takes us on a journey to the lower leagues of the English football pyramid as he tries to achieve success with lowly AFC Telford United. It’s an easy to read, monthly update style and the journey has attracted a lot of views so far – if you have not read about it then I can highly recommend you to do so now!

In the Premiership upthehammers takes over his beloved West Ham United. He is 5 years into things and has made significant strides in the league, with more success sure to follow. Very easy and interesting to follow it’s a regularly updated thread that is minimalistic but contains all you want to know. It’s got a lot of interest lately and that is well deserved.

Marshall has decided to give updates of his Burnley game in more of a story style, and it looks fantastic. The updates usually consist of a match report, signing, and/or seasonal update in the form of a Sky Sports web article, which as well as looking stylish also helps it stand out. This well designed thread has caught the eye for the stylish look as well as some mouthwatering headlines, and tells the tale of Burnley’s struggles under the new manager to try and not only stay in the Premiership, but to compete further up the table.

Spain’s Primera is the setting for Blaze‘s game as he tries to rebuild Espanyol into a force in the league and Europe. With Real Madrid and local rivals Barcelona monopolising the league titles in recent years it’s never going to be an easy task but Blaze gives it a great shot with some great results along the way. His bi-seasonal updates contain all the results from the games in a clear format, whilst the yearly updates he has started doing contain nearly as much information but are easier to digest.

Please cast your votes for your favourite thread and thanks to all those that have created CG threads.
