FMH2010 on the iPhone & iPod touch
Written by Niniev // April 12, 2010 // News, SI News // No comments

Oh yes, SI have given us the announcement about the FM series a lot of us wanted.
Zab and Nin asked Miles this question LAST YEAR on the podcast and we got a very ambiguous answer but now its here and I personally cannot wait!
This is the announcement made on the FM website!
Over the last few months, the most asked question of us on Twitter and Facebook has been “when is Football Manager coming to iPhone/iPod?”, and we’ve confidently pointed out that it wasn’t coming.
When people have asked “when is Football Manager Handheld coming to iPhone/iPod” we’ve been very quiet.
But now we are beyond excited to be able to announce today that FMH2010 is coming to iPhone and iPod touch. And even more excited to be able to announce that what has been our best kept secret ever, it’s coming out in the next 48 hours!
We expect it will be live in the iTunes Store within the next 48 hours!
FMH2010 on the iPhone/iPod touch reviewed
What do the pundits say? Some very lucky few journalists who received limited edition Football Manager Handheld iPod touches (engraved by the people who engrave the FA Cup!) with the game pre-installed on it, expect the game to be a big winner:
CVG.com: “Considering the limitations of the hardware, FM Handheld is a gigantic title that offers just as much of a rich, detailed experience to those taking on Notts County or Sporting Lisbon as it does Chelsea or Liverpool.” – 90%
IGN: “Sports Interactive has crammed a stadium’s worth of stats and figures into FM on the iPhone, and then conjured up a slick and intuitive control system that enables you to easily access this information.” – 90%
Videogamer: “you’ve got all you need to get heavily involved in yet another quest for football glory” – 80%
Koku Gamer: “Football Manager Handheld is the perfect app for football managerial fans, it will not disappoint.” – 90%
Mirror.co.uk GAMES:
“With this sat in your pocket, every spare minute will be consumed on this game, and you’ll be making an effort to free up additional minutes just to play more – just like Alex Ferguson.” – 90%Look out for our competition announcement later in the week when we’ll be giving one lucky fan the chance to win the game along with one of our limited edition devices to play it on!
What a start to the week!
What a great announcement and price point – £6.99.
We will be updating you on this as we get more info from Miles tomorrow night as we have him chatting to us on our podcast – which should be up by about 9pm Tuesday night!
